Everybody knows muesli is Swiss ,right?!!!! Well when we go to Switzerland at least twice a year my in-laws always make "Bircher Muesli" for breakfast! According to them it's the best way to start the day with!!
So what's the difference between "Muesli" as we non- Swiss know it and "Bircher Muesli" ?

For me the difference is that "Bircher" has fresh fruit and yoghurt along with all the grains and dried fruit and nuts! And that's as easy as it gets!!! My kids usually fight to make it !
Use whatever fruit you have on hand , chop into small pieces, add your fave yoghurt (we use natural)and stir. Easy ,hein? If you like you can add a dribble of honey or home-made jam!!!
It's not only yummy, it's that's unusual isn't it? ;)

Love love love museli. I always thought the difference was that Bircher has been sitting in the milk and fruit overnight and other museli had the milk added before serving. Oops!
