Plates nouveaux!

Plate love. Here's my new collection of odd plates! I'm usually a simple ,classic, white plate gal normally but I've decided due to an ever increasing number of broken or chipped porcelain in this house that it might be nice to make up our own very special service and if a plate cracks a little stop to the flea market or second hand store will fix it all up!! We're talking ecology here ! I started with the idea of mostly white but if I would have found coloured little gems then I think I might have ventured but there were none!

Ecology and beauty and originality , I go for all three!!!

Love lilies!

This is our music ,entrance, reception room. Our boys play their instruments here. It's the first room you see as you walk into our place.

This mirror comes from my grandmother , I painted it a light grey. It was ofcourse dark wood colour as antiques usually are but I prefer the light and with our northern climate it works better. Those two lamps are from , you guessed it, Ikea! I like the mix of old and new.

Picture Perfect

Inspired by the wild colours my kids use in their numerous paintings I decided to frame and decorate their hallway in equally beautiful colours!

And this is a self-portait done when I was 16.

The result is a very personalised "gallerie d'art" don't you think. And there are plenty of other artwork to be hung!!!!!!
